DoubleDogPress is the beloved "pet"of two kindred spirits that wanted to make an online home for adopting small writers.

We were both born in the Year of the Dog, which makes for sturdy, loyal and dedicated energy upon which to build a small, self-supporting, independent writer community.

We are especially committed to grooming the capacity for self-publishing, free from the cages of huge agent and publishing house costs.

We want to give a loving home to those underdogs out there who wish to express the yearning to write without having to obey the establishments absent of care and affection.
